With our tagline of “Be honest, be yourself, be Jolee®” we manifest our belief in a future where honest transparency reflects the origin of our raw materials, our product’s performance, and the impact our business has on the environment.
A few years ago, being vegan was seen as a niche interest where people simply avoided meat or meat-derived food and clothing. Since then, we’ve seen this market grow to include all sectors of daily life and the trend is thriving on the back of strong, confident, and knowledgeable consumers.
As our skin comes in contact with environmental pollutants each day, it’s essential to get them gently removed to avoid clogged pores, dullness and acne. If not already part of your daily routine, we have summarized our beauty routine below as washing your face is one of the most basic and essential step to include into your daily routine. This can be done twice a day, in the morning and in the evening.
Radia 7104 has great moisturizing characteristics and excellent spreading properties while giving a soft skin feel to your formulations.
Including Jolee 7750 into your formulations can offer many sustainability benefits to meet your consumer’s demands. As this silicone-like emollient is fully based on renewable sources such as palm kernel oil, wheat, sugar beet, and sugar cane, this specialty ester has a small ecological footprint. Moreover, one of the building blocks of our Jolee 7750 is produced from fusel oil, which is a by-product in the bioethanol industry and thus contributes to the waste reduction of our planet. As member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), Jolee 7750 is available as RPSO Mass Balance. On top, it is non bio-accumulative, completely biodegradable, and therefore not harmful for the environment.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (also known as MCT) is a commonly used emollient in cosmetics and personal care products. This liquid oil is produced by esterification of glycerin and medium-chain fatty acids derived from coconut or palm oil. Oleon’s MCT, Radia 7104, is palm-based. This product is COSMOS certified and NaTrue approved and has a natural origin index of 1. Radia 7104 is a clear and odorless product and thus contributes to a positive consumer experience.
Suncare is also a hot topic during your annual skitrip, as the sun’s rays can damage skin even quicker at a higher altitude. Not only on holidays, but also throughout the rest of the year it is highly recommended to wear sunscreen. As most of the consumers don’t like rich creams on their face, it is necessary to formulate light facial sunscreens. To improve skin feeling, light emollients play an important role. Oleon’s emollient Jolee 7202 is a very light emollient and has a dry, powdery afterfeel which makes it an ideal emollient for daily suncare formulations.
A Global Standard For Sustainable Palm Oil. The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a not-for-profit, international membership organization that unites stakeholders from the different sectors of the palm oil industry: oil palm producers, processors and traders, consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, banks/investors, and environmental and social non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil production.
Don't forget to add humectants to your formulation! Since dry or dehydrated skin lacks water, cosmetic formulations can temporarily reverse this by a process called moisturization. Moisturization is the ability of a preparation to increase the water content of the outer layer of the skin (stratum corneum). Moisturizing creams, gels and lotions are applied for the relief of the signs and symptoms of dry skin, leaving it soft, smooth and supple.
Since the outbreak of Covid-19, health experts encourage people to frequently sanitize and wash their hands to stop the spread of the virus. Aside the global impact, our hands too, have taken a serious beating. While it’s still crucial to follow these hygiene practices, doing it the right way is just as important.
